INDIVIDUAL DESCRIPTION

Malo lelei. My name is Lutimi. I am 12 years old and a year 8 student. I go to Tamaki Primary School. I am a handsome boy that loves education and attending school. I am a proud Tongan that was raised in Auckland, New Zealand. My hair is as brown as caramello chocolate. I have eyes that sparkle like a star.  I am a musician as I play an instrument called the tuba which I mostly play it at church. I can also play the ukelele and I also love playing sports. I have represented my school in rugby, netball, softball, touch and many more other sports. I am a responsible role model as I am always called to do responsible jobs around school and also at home. I am helpful, kind, honest and a good friend.

I love my family. I come from a large family whom I deeply love. I have nine brothers and four sisters. I live at home with six brothers and one sister. The rest of my brothers and sister live all around the world. Family means everything to me it means love, understanding, support and being together. My dad is my hero. He had to leave school when he was young to help out his family. Education to my parents is everything, they want us to do our very best at everything.

I live in the Tamaki community. I have lived here for three years. We have lots of things happening around the Tamaki community. In schools we have Manaiakalani, which allows us to have computers in schools. There are lots of parks and sport fields. We also have two big shopping centers, Panmure and Glen Innes. I am very happy that we moved into the Tamaki community because I have more friends then I’ve ever had. In the tamaki community it's quiet because every one hardly does any thing like old lazy hippos and that is what I like about my community, peaceful and quiet.

My cultural interests is my hometown called Longoteme. I’ve never been there but hope to some day. My dad told me many things about my culture like how the sea looks like crystal diamonds. The birds fly high in the lovely cold breeze and the smell of the tropical nature. In my family everyone likes sport espicaly my Mum, she roars like a grizzly bear.My favourite sport is rugby because all my friends play to. My hobbies are going to church, helping people, also playing volleyball.

My fears about learning are people putting presure on me. I want to try and make my parents happy.I love learning at school. My hopes and goals are to try and make learning fun and get a good education. My goal for this year is try my best in everything at school and get a high standed in Reading,Writing,Maths and Topic.

Netbook Reflection 2012

What has school been like this year with a netbook?

Having a Netbook this year has helped me a lot with my work. The first thing I liked about the netbooks were when it helped us with our spelling mistakes. It was easier to do Reading,Writing and more. But the best thing about the netbooks is that we can comunicate with other schools because you can see what they are doing at there school throughout the year on their blogs.

What I didn’t like about the netbooks were when we had to look up for information but then the internet will come up with too much information. Sometimes when I try to look for information the internet will sometimes go really slow. When I look up for information it's hard to find the information that you're looking for so I double check information by looking on other sites to make sure it was right.
The weird thing about the Netbooks was that when I do my work, sometimes a pop up will appear in front of me.
